No more shooting in Argentina !

I just read that my good friend Mr. Francis Ford Coppola was robbed in Argentina.  Screenplays, production notes, family photos - ALL GONE!

There but for the grace of God...

From this moment forward, I want NONE of our movies or TV shows to film down there.  Those cock-suckers have pissed me off ever since they killed Evita.  Don't sell them any of our shit, don't invest in any of their product.  Do NOT hire Robert Duvall anymore.

If I find out ANYONE is doing business with the Argentinians, HEADS WILL ROLL!

So Microsoft wants to invest $500 million for 5% of Facebook?  That's a $10 billion value for Facebook.  Perhaps we should start MankaBook.  Or MankaFace.  How much would 5% of MankaFace go for?

The Forbes 400 Richest Americans

Can someone please come into my office and count my money and explain WHY I AM NOT ON THIS LIST!  I opened the Forbes 400 issue and didn't see my name.  I figure it must have just been an unfortunate oversight on their part.  I own the Manka Business Channel for Christ's sake!  I MUST have more money than those Google guys!  That's ridiculous!  I have never been so embarrassed (and, yes, I am including the incident with John Stamos!).

If there is a reason I am not on this list, we all need to get together to figure out a way to GET ME ON THAT LIST!

"Lap Of Luxury" opens tomorrow

I would like everyone that is employed by Manka Bros. to go see "Lap Of Luxury" this weekend.  If everyone from the studio lot go (2,000+ people) and pay full price - this movie would at least make $20,000.  That's $20,000 more than this stinker of a movie deserves.  From what I have seen, it's a really terrible movie.  The only thing it has going for it is that it doesn't star John Stamos!

I'm sure it will make less than "Good Luck Chuck" starring that no talent Dane Cook.  But what can you do.  It appears that the people in our Theatrical division have no talent as well.

Go to this movie this weekend.  We need the money.

Because of the insult perpetrated on myself and my studio by being seated behind John Stamos at the Emmys, I do NOT want him to be used in any future television or film projects!  Understood?!

Also, have we decided on a title for our Academy Award-type feature to be released this Christmas?

Also, who is responsible for having my car washed?  Daily car washing means just that... DAILY!

khan_jr1.gifWhoever was responsible for getting my seat at the Emmys is FIRED!  I was sitting BEHIND John Stamos FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!  I have never been so embarrassed.

And this is for all in the Manka Bros. TV Group:  I WANT ONE OF OUR SHOWS TO WIN NEXT YEAR FOR BEST DRAMA OR COMEDY - NOT JUST BE NOMINATED (though that would be a good start!).

 

This was a tough summer for Manka Bros.

I certainly hope you are all back at work.  Some of you won't be in a couple of weeks as our horrible summer will result in some layoffs.  That's just the business we've chosen.

Not one of our films performed well - not even close - not even marginal - bad bad bad.  We had high hopes for "Freak Accident" and "The Bloody Stumps of Elsa Cry" - but they performed terribly.  Just awful.

I realize we don't launch our MBS fall television season until later this month, but I've taken a look at the schedule and I believe we are in big trouble on that front as well.

We have to find some things that work at this company.  We can't just layoff everyone.  That will only work in the short-term.  I believe we need a longer-term solution.  Do you all agree?
