MC Comics forms a Manga division to leverage that booming Japanese comic format to expand the reach of Manka Bros. IP. The first title was based on ‘Chimpanzebra’ – a character from the popular MBS ‘Animaltered’ animated series.

A Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade float of MC Comics’ beloved comic strip character Captain Stoppo (most popular in the 1930s and 1940s) crashes into the crowd, injuring dozens. The float was popped and never used again.
