The Paris backlot set on the Manka Bros. lot burns to the ground (including the 2/3 size replica of the Eiffel Tower). It is eventually replaced by the Harry Manka Accounts Payable building.

A Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade float of MC Comics’beloved comic strip character Captain Stoppo (most popular in the 1930s and 1940s) crashes into the crowd, injuring dozens. The float was popped and never used again.

Because of MGM’s incredible success with ‘The Wizard Of Oz,’ Manka Bros. produced a film based on another L. Frank Baum property ‘The Enchanted Island Of Yew.’ The film was… not a success.

Pierogi Park – Manka Bros.’ show created to compete with ‘Sesame Street’ premiered. It spun off beloved characters such as Bulgaria Sonia and The Two-Face Freak.
This Date In Manka Bros. History – November 14, 2013:
‘Ramage Of The Stegosaur’ opens on Broadway. Based on the 2008 Manka Bros. film, the Manka Broadway production had the tagline ‘You Will Believe Dinosaurs Can Sing!’ Critics and audiences didn’t believe and it closed December 10, 2013.
