The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences can F itself.

The same goes for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association

And while I’m at it, The Producer’s Guild can suck it

… and any other suck ass group of idiots who wouldn’t know a quality movie if it bit them in the balls.

Did you not even watch the screeners for “The Last Train To Crazy” or “The Forgotten 8″?

You obviously didn’t watch “American Hustle” or “Gravity.” If you had, you would have seen a couple of truly amateur efforts by complete amateurs.

David O. Russell hasn’t made a decent movie since “Spanking The Monkey”!

You even gave nominations to The Weinstein Company – that’s the biggest insult of all.

Harvey Weinstein is the Chris Christie of Hollywood.

Jesus.

Well, members of the Academy, I hope you enjoy all the cash, wine and spa vouchers I sent!

Hawk Koch – you are on my list.

You were officially the worst Academy President ever!

Ms. Boone had better clean up that organization or it will have one less member next year!

Goddamnit!

That is all.

  1. Tom Hanks says:

We’ll start our own awards Khan.

  2. spassky says:

I’m wondering why you sent them “cash” … let alone screeners… it’s a tough tough market, especially for films without high-profile theater releases.

Also, think of a film like “Inside Llewyn Davis” that spent millions on awards marketing (and, in my opinion, is a very good and well-deserving film)… feel better that you gave clear indication to the filmmakers you fund that you put forth the effort (and yes, money) to support the further acknowledgement of their films/vision. In the long run, these efforts will not go unnoticed (unless you undermine them with blog posts like these).

    Hang in there, Khan!

  3. chitown says:

Even crazier than your horrible studio’s lack of nominations is the nomination that Jonah Hill GOT! I can’t stand him. All he knows how to play is awkward. He’s only got one note. He doesn’t score any points for being a self-congratulatory pompous windbag either.

Note how in every interview, he must mention his previous Oscar nomination…completely unsolicited. The guy is an insecure buffoon.

    1. Carol says:

Leonardo is a one note guy with Jonah Hill. He plays the same rich (language) all the time.

  4. millerman says:

No Blackfish love? That movie changed my whole perception about SeaWorld. I will never go there again. To be fair, haven’t seen most of those docs nominated though. And Tom Hanks should be nominated for best actor for Captain Phillips. But it’s DiCaprio time! He better finally win. And finally… I would have loved Prisoners to have received more love. The whole time I was watching Gyllenhall, I thought… Oscar worthy performance. That movie had me biting mine and my girlfriend’s nails haha. Fantastic film. Oh well. Rant over! Here’s to DiCaprio hopefully winning his long overdue Oscar.

  5. Biebs says:

Nobody should ever snub Tom Hanks. Nobody.

    Oprah on the other hand….

  6. Amy says:

    MANKA BROS WAS ROBBED!

Also, I was really hoping Joaquin Phoenix would get nominated. I guess it was a long shot anyway, but his performance in Her was absolutely fantastic.

  7. Brett says:

American Hustle was alright. Maybe worth a nomination but if that’s voted the best movie of the year then 2013 was a bad year for movies. Gravity was pretty awesome though. I missed 12 years but I’d be willing to wager that from what I’ve heard it’s the best movie of the year. As for Manka, I just don’t know.

  8. Bob Jones says:

I found American Hustle a glorification of everything wrong in our society and am shocked to discover it was so highly nominated. I could see the actors acting, the timing was off, the script was boorish.

Just another example of how this country is going down the drain, glorifying con artists.

The only redeeming feature was the caliber of actors in the film, but even that wears thin.

  9. Haggis says:

I saw American Hustle, ready to laugh…how I was disappointed. After 10 minutes I was looking at my watch. No idea why the critics liked it. Wolf should win, but it wont, sadly.

  10. Harley says:

Joaquin Phoenix, who arguably deserved to win the oscar, let alone be nominated, is being punished by the Academy for saying the Oscars are “bullsh*t”. Thus proving his statement was correct.

    1. Christian says:

Are u retarded or just stupid? He said it last year and his punishment was to get nominated for The Master. I feel like slapping the ish out of you for being so dumb!

  11. Buster Lhode says:

Twelve years a slave…..Have trouble sleeping? Rent it. Cheaper than phenobarbital.

    1. Dori says:

BOY YOU GOT THAT RIGHT. WHAT A SLEEPER.
